In an age where children are often missing out on the opportunity to develop a relationship with God, SOaR makes Christianity accessible, interesting, and fun. I'm so grateful for all they do at Emmanuel.
Hilary Ayling from SOaR is a regular and much valued visitor to Thurcaston - running Wednesday Club (for Parents and Toddlers), Signposts (an after school club for Primary age) and leading assemblies and RE lessons at Richard Hill C of E Primary School.
SOaR do a fantastic job in making the Christian message relevant and enjoyable to children. Both our children have benefitted from the Toddler group in Seagrave. The contact continued when they went to school with Hilary leading assemblies and church visits. I was so pleased to be able to attend the Big Meal with our children's school. It was a fantastic explanation of the Passover tradition as well as complete bible background which the children could participate in and understand. Similarly, the children loved 'Journey to Bethlehem'. I can't wait to experience it for myself...!
SOaR has run our CtiA (Churches Together in Anstey) Holiday Club in a highly professional and successful way, and midweek children's clubs. This results in many children deepening their understanding of the Christian faith.
