I am originally from Watford and have lived in Loughborough since 1991. I am not from a Christian background; I became a Christian when I was 20 primarily through the witness of a Christian boss I had at that time. Soon after becoming a Christian I felt a calling from God to go into full-time ministry, and after 3 years of training at Moorlands Bible College I worked as an evangelist and youth worker with churches in Watford, Marylebone, Bournemouth and then here in Loughborough.
It has always been my passion to reach people with the Good News and to make disciples. I love working in local schools and out in the community. It is always a great joy to work with local Christians and to encourage and equip them to fulfil the Great Commission.
Whilst at Bible College I met my wife Denise, we have three grown up children and two grandchildren to whom I’m known as “G-Dad”. I love cars and would love to own a Morris Minor (the car I learnt to drive in at 17). I like to read, walking, bit of bird-watching, love the Dorset coast especially around the Purbecks, holiday in Italy, and ever since I was 8 years old I’ve made model aircraft (but don’t hang them from the ceiling anymore – Denise won’t let me)
I have been working for the Soar project for over 8 years. My work is mainly with young people running Christian Unions, lunch time clubs and helping head up town wide youth initiatives. My passion is to see young people transformed by the love and power of Jesus and to see a generation of radical disciples of Jesus raised up!
I moved to Loughborough in 2008 to study a degree in ‘Youth and Community Work and Applied Theology’ at St John’s Bible college Nottingham. Originally from Cambridge, I’ve been involved in children’s and youth work since a teenager when I gave my life to Jesus.
I am married to Emma and we have a daughter called Esther. It’s a real privilege to serve and minster together as a family in Loughborough. A few of my passions are time with family, basketball, running, films, coffee shops and McDonald’s! A fun fact is I have dual nationality!
